Within Ankara University Center of Women’s Studies (AUCWS), Gender Equality Certificate Program was opened in the 2012-13 academic year with the Women’s Studies Department faculty members affiliated to the Social Sciences Institute. The certificate program, which has been continuing since December 2013, is held twice a year, in the Fall (October-December) and spring semesters (March-May), for 11 weeks, total of 66 hours. Since the training is held on weekends, many people who work full time or live outside the city can easily apply. In the program, the concept of gender; economy-politics, sociology, theology, law, culture, literature, art, media, political science, history, positive sciences, and other disciplines. 20-30 people apply to this program, which is held in two groups a year. The number of people who attended the training between 2013-2019 was 284, and the participants received certificates. The training was postponed due to the COVID 19 Pandemic at the beginning of 2020, which was to be held in the Fall, but the planning could not be realized because the manager could not be appointed.
The vast majority of the participants, who we asked to evaluate the program after the certificate training, and who had different perspectives, expressed their satisfaction with the training.
